The table below is a summary of the results by preference selected:
1st 2nd 3rd 4th 5th 6th 7th
Lionel Road Stadium 203 32 9 3 8 1 2
Relaxation of S106 conditions 84 56 31 18 15 12 13
Full refinancing 4 3 11 29 39 53 33
Partial refinancing 30 35 60 48 32 4 4
Share Issue 4 11 21 28 51 50 25
Business Consortium 37 49 62 35 14 14 8
Return to control of Altonwood 13 17 10 23 17 23 77
Lionel Road is by far the most popular strategy with a relaxation of S106 conditions coming in as a strong second choice back-up. A partial refinancing/or business consortium were both seen as having a certain amount of merit. A full refinancing, share issue or a return of control to Altonwood had very
little support.
An overview of key comments includes the following six points:
- fans were generally pleased to be asked for views, although some feel we
- still need to improve our communications more
- good support for the general way BU and club board are operating the club
- strong wish not to have the club returned to control of Altonwood
- important to keep the club locally based.
- many see the Sec 106 as main protection for the clubs continued existence
- need more marketing to give the club a higher profile
The results of the poll on the proposed league rule changes to four up from the Second Division and four down from the First were:
In favour 107
Against 94
