Brian Burgess has been nominated as a candidate by Bees United and FC United of Manchester in this year's election for non-executive directors to serve on the board of Supporters Direct, the national umbrella body for supporters' trusts.
As part of the partnership between Bees United and Matthew Benham, Bees United has repaid the £200,000 loan which gave rise to Ian Jones's appointment to the Board of Brentford Football Club in 2006.
