During the Bees United Board meeting on Thursday 31st August 2006, the following organisational changes were agreed by the Board.

Ron Cooper has been co-opted onto the Board until the results of the Bees United Board elections are announced on September 22nd. Ron, who was the highest polling member at the last election not to be elected as a Board Member, will work on the Board to ensure there are no fewer than 12 members as required by the Bees United rules.

We would like to thank Ron for agreeing to be co-opted for this short period and help maintain the work of the Society.

Bruce Powell, who announced his intention to stand down as Society Secretary last year, has now resigned from this position, with immediate effect. The Board expresses its thanks to Bruce for his immense contribution to the work of the Society since its inception in 2001. Bruce remains as a Board member and the role that he has undertaken for so many years will now be split, with a Membership Secretary as well as a Society Secretary.

Allison Franklin and Bruce, will operate as dual Membership Secretaries focusing on the management, processing and development of the Bees United membership. A full clarification of the specific roles to be undertaken by Bruce and Allison will be published in the next 2 weeks. In the meantime all applications and queries regarding membership should continue to be sent to Bruce.

Chris Gammon takes over the Bees United Secretary role with immediate effect, focusing on the legal and governance aspects of the Society. To enable Chris to take on this role, in line with the Bees United rules, Chris has resigned as Director of Griffin Park Stadium Ltd and Brentford Holdings Ltd.

Matt Dolman has been nominated by the Bees United Board to take over these directorships.

We would like to wish everybody good luck in their new roles, as Bees United looks to build on the work already done in acquiring the majority shareholding of the club, and re-energising the work needed to continue Bees United's growth as one of the leading supporters trusts in the country.
