The Bees United Loan Note AGM will be held on Saturday 28 January 2012 (before the Wycombe Wanderers home game) from approximately 12.30pm immediately after the Bees United (BU) AGM in The Hive, Brentford Football Club, Braemar Road, Brentford TW8 0NT
As usual the Loan Note AGM will be held immediately after the main BU AGM. The main business of the meeting is usually to consider the representation of loan note members on the Bees United Board.
However following the letter sent by Trevor Mant on the 2 December 2011 no one has been nominated or put themselves forward to become the Loan Note Representative on the BU Board for the next 12 months. As Trevor does not want to be considered for re-election for a further term this means the position will remain vacant for the next 12 months unless someone is nominated prior to the AGM. Please do re-consider whether you may be interested in this position. It is really important that someone should sit on the BU Board to represent this most supportive of supporters groups.
Can any Loan Note Holder who is interested in standing for election please advise Trevor Mant as soon as possible. He would be happy to answer any questions you have about the role. Please don’t be shy or reluctant – we would rather have a choice for loan note holders and of course it is important that Bees United has a strong board with wide ranging skills. Any potential candidate should provide a brief resume outlining why they are standing for election and we will publish this on the BU website and make copies available at the loan note meeting.
Voting/Attendance at the AGM
1. To be quorate at the AGM we need Noteholders holding a majority (i.e. above 50%) to be present or have provided proxies. If you cannot attend the meeting please complete the attached proxy form and return it in the envelope provided by 20th January 2012. If in doubt please post the proxy form – if you are able to attend you can reclaim your proxy form prior to the meeting.
2. We would encourage you to appoint as a proxy someone you know who can vote on your behalf – in the event that there is more than one candidate for the election they can then decide having read the candidates statements and had the chance to meet them who to vote for.
