In response to a number of enquiries we can confirm that Bees United, the Brentford Supporters' Trust, are in discussion with Hounslow Council about possible support for our Back the Bees campaign to enable the Trust to acquire a controlling stake in the Club and thus prevent it from being sold to property developers. This would be in the form of a loan at a commercial rate of interest.

Bees United is the trading name of Brentford Football Community Society Limited, a community benefit Industrial and Provident Society set up in 2001 to give the Club's supporters and the local community a greater influence in the running of the Club.

As the necessary legal and financial details are currently being discussed with the Council's officers and will be subject to formal approval, it is not possible to comment any further at this time.
