The Back the Bees campaign this week launched a promotion to encourage at least 100 fans to take out £1,000 loan notes in aid of the £1m campaign.

Under the scheme, if Back the Bees loan notes are taken out reaching a total of £100,000 and the trust are successful in taking over the Club, the 100 loan note holders will be entered into a draw for one of them to win a associate director's package at the Club. Normally this package, which includes a season ticket and access to the vice president's lounge, would only be available to someone who took out a £100,000 loan note. In addition, all loan note holders will receive ongoing membership of Bees United.

Back the Bees spokesman Chris Scott explained that the promotion sought to reach out to mid-level donors who want to feel they are playing a major part in the campaign: 'There are many Brentford fans like myself who would love to be able to make a six-figure donation to the £1m campaign but couldn't get close to doing so. By combining our efforts we can collectively make a huge difference to the campaign total, and stand a chance of being made an associate director to boot.'
