October 19th – #MUNBFC

Saturday 19th, and our day kicked off at 9am

A huge fun trip from Richmond Upon Thames to Manchester.

As a Bees Member, getting the match tickets couldn’t be easier – you just got to check your email for the on-sale dates!

I took my two kids and my son’s friend to watch our beloved Bees play at Old Trafford. Fellow Bees had warned me it would be extremely busy, so we were prepared for the crowds.

The Uno-a-thon

At Euston, we dodged the many cancelled trains and boarded ours without a hitch.

The kids and I had a blast playing Uno and chatting for 2.5 hours, and before we knew it, we arrived at Manchester Piccadilly.

The station team were absolute stars, guiding us past the lines so the kids could safely get on the tram.

Chips and football – it doesn’t get better!

The weather was just perfect: sunny skies and a cool breeze.

We strolled the walk to Old Trafford, enjoying chips and curry along the way.

We picked up pins for our new tradition – an away pin collection.

We’ve scored in nearly the first minute in four matches, this time it was in the last minute and when Pinnock’s header hit the net, we went wild! The atmosphere was electric, and everyone made sure my kids had a great view.

To avoid the post-match rush and potential train chaos, we left five minutes before the game ended. Thankfully, the walk back to the tram in the sunshine was a breeze, and the tram ride was stress-free.

We hopped on a train which was delayed but we were back in London by 8pm, reaching home at 10pm.

It was a day my kids, their friend, and I will never forget. Watching our team at one of the world’s most famous stadiums was an unforgettable experience.

Everton tickets are still on sale ….. !!
